I am absolutely enthralled with this story. This is Charissa leveling up, y'all! This is the story I have wanted since I first met Saint in Charissa’s Slater Security series, when he was a minor side character with a huge presence. This is the man giving Aidan (Reactivated: Aidan) a run for his money for top Charissa hero honors. Heck, for top book boyfriend honors, period.

And I truly adore the HEA Charissa gave him. Such an unexpected, but perfect, heroine. She’s a stealth spitfire with beautiful depth and a huge heart.

What I love about it:

  • Saint's one-liners

  • Fantastic banter

  • Fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat action

  • The backstory I've been craving.

  • Mia's assertiveness battling her vulnerability

  • Ch 14 (holy freaking hotness)

  • Epic cameos and crossovers

  • Connections and redemption, and kindred spirits reinventing lives of lies as lives in love.

Favorite quote: He felt like he just got run over by a truck and the license plate read “Good Girl.”
