About the Editor
I am a reader and writer of all things, but my true love is in reading and writing about Romance novels. I am an avid blogger and reviewer, and find true delight in seeing authors grow through their writing experience.
There is no greater joy for me than witnessing an author find their voice and soar.
A grammar nerd at heart, editing is like a happy scavenger hunt for me. It’s not just about finding misspellings and errant punctuation, it’s about seeing the entire picture and bringing the true story to life.
Curious about my professional background and credentials? I hold a B.A. in English from Tulane University and an MAT in Secondary Education from Towson University. I have over twenty-five years experience teaching high school English, as well as over twenty years writing and editing for the business world.
Process & Price
As a full service editor and proofreader, you get it all from me: Grammar, sentence stucture, punctuation, tone, word choice, continuity, and even suggestions on how to expand on what you’ve already written to give your story and characters more depth.
Services offered:
Developmental Editing: Including multiple passes to catch plot holes, character development issues, structural deficiencies, and continuity errors
Copy/Line Editing: Focusing on technical errors (grammar and punctuation), consistency, clarity, and conciseness in the text
Hybrid Developmental & Copy/Line editing: A unique process that blends multiple levels of editing to build a full scope picture of the story and provide guidance for enhancements during a multi-step process and multiple read-throughs. The price:
Prices are based on the length of your originally submitted manuscript, and the amount and type of editing you need done. In the case of progressive editing for an incomplete document, the price will be matched to the ending word count.
Developmental editing: $.014/word
Copy/Line editing: $.01/word
Hybrid Developmental & Copy/Line editing: $.017/word
Proofreading Only: $.007/word
